A demonstration project for future agriculture, utilizing a former school facility, has launched at the former Chikusa North Elementary School in Shisō City, Hyogo Prefecture. Based at the school grounds, we will conduct demonstrations of emergency food production using RiceContainer and experimental cultivation of medicinal rice in a netted glass greenhouse.
Rice Container Setup
We will demonstrate a system capable of growing rice in a short period during emergencies, such as disasters, using a multi-tiered hydroponic LED cultivation facility within a container. We will grow two types of rice: Super 1 and Super 2.
■ Screen House Glass Greenhouse Installation
A demonstration experiment will be conducted to cultivate Spel No. 2, which is rich in medicinal proteins, in a net-covered glass house.
Going forward, we aim to establish a new agricultural model based at the closed school, in collaboration with Shisō City and local farmers. We will report on our progress again.
